Session Description

Creating programs, experiences and resources for families is a hot topic in the church community. So who owns the family vision? The Children’s ministry, the Senior Pastor, the parents?! Once you figure that out, who implements it, staff, volunteers, or parents? This session will present the philosophical view of how the church and the home are to work together, or not. You might just find that the last thing your church needs is a family ministry.

Pat Cimo

Pat Cimo joined the staff at Willow Creek Community Church almost 20 years ago as the Associate Director of the Promiseland, Willow’s children’s ministry. In 2005 she assumed her current role as Director of Spiritual Formation leading creative teams in the development of resources and experiences designed to move families and individuals forward in their spiritual journey. When she is not in strategy and management meetings around Willow, you can find Pat with one of the many members of her extended family or sharing time with husband Dave, daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Denis, and her son, Scott, and his soon-to-be wife, Ashley.
