Session Description
The church family is more than parents with kids. It’s everyone together on the same page. Is that even possible? In this breakout we will uncover core family values that God has given to each individual family, as well as the greater church family. So the next time you’re stopped and someone asks: “how’s the family”? You could respond with something like: “it’s a 7.3.” If a family focus is new to your church… this is a “can’t miss” session! ![]() Dave Huber After graduating from Belfast Elementary School (Calgary, AB) and some other stuff later on in life, Dave has spent the past 16 years investing in the spiritual formation of children and families. Currently the creative director of the Family Experience at Willow Creek Community Church (South Barrington, IL), Dave works to increase the relational equity and Biblical literacy of families church-wide. He has written no books and is rarely quoted, but has two insanely active kids (Dakoda 10, Skylar 8) and the most patient wife (Nicole) on the planet. ![]() Holly Laurant During Holly’s nine year tenure at Willow Creek Community Church, she has contributed to the Promiseland Ministry, the FX Family Ministry, and the Church’s Creative Programming Department. In 2007 she earned her Masters Degree in Inter-Disciplinary Arts from Columbia College in Chicago. She is a house member of the Second City and the Improv Olympic Theater where she teaches and performs Improv and Sketch Comedy. She lives near Wrigley Field in Chicago where she loves riding her bike, yoga, and daydreaming about horses. Her desire is to use the power of “Story” to stir people’s hearts for lives of greater compassion, wholeness and redemption. www.willowcreek.org |
