Using Alpha to grow leaders and the church - Alpha is considered by key leaders worldwide as one of the most significant evangelism tools in our day, possibly in history. This workshop will look at how to engage the whole church in reaching your community and how Alpha grows new leaders inside the church.
Dan Cochrane
Dan Cochrane has been the senior pastor of CrossRoads Church (previously Oriole Park Church) for the past 14 years. Prior to this, he pastored in North Vancouver for 18 years.
The vision of CrossRoads Church is:
“To give everyone in Central Alberta an opportunity to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and by following Him, compassionately impact our world.”
Pastor Dan has helped lead this congregation in owning that vision by: building relationship; the example he is in his leadership role; envisioning the other pastors and their ministries; and his preaching that (a) connects the biblical values for the vision and (b) reflects the heart of God for lost people.
Pastor Dan is often asked to speak at meetings or conferences about how CrossRoads Church has combined evangelism and connection with the community in a very tangible way.
He is married to Ginny and they have three adult children: Rick, Christina and Ryan. Their family increased in August 2002 with the addition of Jenn, Rick’s wife.
